FAQ

Educational Outreach

What sort of outreach does your shop do?

Bike Farm volunteers lead workshops or mobile bike repair about once a month. We work with Portland Bureau of Transportation to provide basic bike repair at Sunday Parkways in the summer and Fix-It Fairs in the winter. We have also lead Fix-a-Flat workshops at PDX Skillshare and done pop-up mobile repair with Food Not Bombs at Colonel Summers Park. We’re always looking for more outreach opportunities.

Can you lead a bike repair workshop at our office or event?

It depends. We are an education collective, and like to support events that are educational. If you're looking for someone to wrench behind the scenes, try contacting a local bike shop. If you're looking for a fix-a-flat workshop, or some basic bike repair where the bike owner is learning and working alongside our volunteers, you’ve come to the right place! Send us an email and we’ll talk more.
